Work Package 2 – Identifying regional barriers to increased private RTD investment

The objective of WP2 is to identify – through a qualitative approach – the regional barriers for increasing private R&D investment. This will be done with a particular focus on the barriers for SME involvement and investment in regional clusters of innovation and RTD.
Among other things the work in WP2 will include a survey of the 4 regions:

• Identifying specific barriers to SME involvement and investment in regional RTD projects and activities
• Assessing availability and accessibility of regional funding and private financing for SME involvement in RTD activities.
• Identifying best practise regional strategies and schemes for increasing private RTD investment.
